Throughout my journey I have been blessed to have some amazing experiences serving the Lord.
Mission Trip
One of the best experiences I had occurred while I was a Youth leader. I was blessed to go on a Mission Trip to Alajuela, Costa Rica. During that trip I watched kids in the youth group as young as 12 grow so much in the Lord. They were leading the adults. The people in the town were so blessed by the heart and the love that we showed. They would come and hang out and listen to us as we sang worship songs in the evening. One gentleman even invited us to come to his rooftop to sing worship. The people of Alajuela blessed me so much.
I was so proud of the kids that went on this trip. We were sleeping on the floor of a church with a truck parked in the room with us. We took bucket showers or used the public showers in the town’s park. There were no mirrors for the girls to get ready with in the mornings, but they did not care. We were building a sports court. We had no equipment so we were literally mixing sand, rocks, water, and concrete with a shovel to create this sports court. It was hard work and we would leave the work each day to go back to the church where the kids would teach bible study. It was so beautiful to see the kids give themselves completely over to what God was doing through them. They worked with joy so much so that some of the local kids came to help.
The mayor presented our team with a beautiful picture as thanks for the work we were doing in the town. The locals arranged a town-wide soccer game with us during out last week there. It truly was an unbelievable experience and I will be forever grateful to the people of Alajuela, Costa Rica for opening up their hearts to us. They truly blessed me.
Sisters in the Spirit
Sisters in the Spirit
We hear alot about the power of a praying mom and that is so true. Not only does my mom pray with me, but we do ministry together. When my aunt Reverend Barbara Early passed away, my mom held on to something she had said to her a few years prior, “Don’t stop praying with the women.” My aunt did a lot of great work in the ministry with women and was such an inspiration to all of us. My mom, sister, myself and a few other amazing women began a ministry called “Sisters in the Spirit.” This ministry brought women into our home for a night of fun, bible study, reflection on who we are in Christ, and of course good food.
These sleepover meetings had a profound impact on so many women. We constantly heard testimonies and requests for more. Through Sisters in the Spirit we have been able to pour into many women and see them grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.
I have been so blessed by all the women that I have met through this ministry.
EQUIP Bible Study
Sometimes when God calls you to do something you have never done, you have to take a deep breath and just go for it. That is what I did when He first gave me EQUIP. I remember inviting a small group of ladies to my house to begin the 5 week bible study that I had written. I knew God wanted me to do it, but I was so nervous. So much came out of that small step of obedience. Every week the group grew as more and more women told people about it and brought them. When we finished, it was clear that God had stirred something in all of the women who attended.
Soon I started getting invited to women’s groups to share the 5-week bible study with them. Each time I just trusted God and gave myself as a vessel for His work. I was so blessed by each and every woman that I met doing EQUIP. but God was not done pushing me because He laid it on my heart to write a book about EQUIP. To turn it into a 28-day devotional. I never thought I would be an author, but I am because of my obedience. Never hesitate to be obedient to God. He will do amazing things with your YES, and you will be so blessed.

GUEST ON REST STOP: TIMES OF REFRESHING CONVERSATION SERIES
I was honored to be a guest on Chinwe Okapaloka’s conversation series called REST STOP. We discussed the topic of REST and the importance of resting in God. I also shared some words to encourage women and men to remember that despite what is going on they are valuable and have purpose.

Guess what I am an actor!
I was blessed to be part of several plays and a short film. These have been amazing experiences and so many men, women and young people have been touched through the messages in the plays. I. have made some amazing friends through this experience. I also have to give a shout out to my mother, Phylis Mack who wrote and directed the plays (Tyra and Bought) and my cousin Trina McBroom who wrote and co-directed the short film (Save the Children).
