Prayers

“Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!” – Psalm 116:2

My prayer life has grown throughout the years. Like many people, I began unsure of what to say and worried that I wasn’t saying the right thing. Over the years He has taught me that prayer is conversation with Him. It is sharing my thoughts, fears, hopes, longings and gratefulness with Him. Its not about saying the right thing, but sharing your heart and listening to His.

Prayer is without a doubt one of my favorite things to do. It is intimate and peaceful; it is a healing balm for a broken heart; it is finding strength in the midst of struggle; and its clarity in the midst of chaos. Prayer is expressing your heart to the Lord. Its inviting Him to be part of your life and your circumstances. To me, prayer is worship. It is the depth of my spirit connecting to His spirit.

What an honor it is to have the opportunity to talk with the creator of the Universe and know that He loves hearing from me. So as long as I have breath I will pray.
