About Twana Young

My name is Twana Young. I am married to the love of my life who I met in a pizza shop when I was 15 years old. I know, seems strange, but God works in mysterious ways. We have two amazing children (well they are grown adults) and one even more amazing grandson. I also have a large group of spiritual sons and daughters, one of which is my beautiful daughter-in-law.

The most important thing to know about me is that my family and I are centered in Christ. He is our Lord and Savior and without Him we are lost. We are by no means a family who has had it easy. We have been through a lot individually and together. The Lord has walked with us through it all, even when we did not realize He was there.

I know what it feels like to be lost, depressed, hurt, angry and betrayed. I understand how easily a person can get trapped by feelings of poor self-worth and feel like their past defines their future. We all have things in our past that have built up walls, ruined dreams and broken us in ways we would like to hide from everybody else. In the midst of all of that, I want you to know that there is joy, there is peace and there is one who gives us hope. I will not claim to have all the answers, but I know the one who does. Jesus Christ knows all of us (you and me) by name. He has created each one of us with gifts, talents, dreams and purpose. There is nothing in your past or mine that can change the purpose He has for us. 

I invite you to partner with me as I share strategies, truth, hope and lessons learned in my leadership workshops and life events. I have a 20+ years of educational experience as a teacher, leader, mentor, and administrator and 8+ years working with youth, and women. Included in that experience is training others in leadership development, goal setting and discipleship. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10-11) We are instructed to use our gifts for one another and for the glory of God. My heart is to use the trials, experiences, training, knowledge and gifts I have to help others see the light of God in themselves. Each one of us has something to offer this world to make it a better place. My goal is to provide you with insight; strategies and experiences that will enable you to Passionately Pursue your Purpose.
