I am still soaking in the words spoken at Gritty Women Of God Conference this weekend. Pastor Sheila Bowling and every speaker brought a powerful word.
As I was flying over the city of Chicago this morning I took this picture. It reminded me of Pastor Kim Collins message about letting our light shine.
I was high up in the plane and as I have often found when I get a higher perspective things look different. As I thought about the many powerful messages at The Gritty Women of God conference; as I thought about the fierce prayers fighting for the nations; as I thought about the surrendered hearts worshipping and desiring more of Jesus I couldn’t help but wonder is this what we looked like this weekend from heaven’s perspective? Innumerable lights shining, glorifying Christ and preparing to engage, armor up, shine on and break through.
Light flowing through women (and men) of all walks, colors, cultures, languages, backgrounds who came together hungry for the one who is the light of the world. Did all the heavenly hosts look down and see us praying, receiving, dancing, shouting and singing causing the light in us to burst through us. Sending hundreds of light beams bursting through the darkness like a beacon pointing up to the one who is the most glorious light of all?
Then I wondered is that what it looks like from heaven’s perspective every time I am worshipping in my house, singing my heart out, dancing before the Lord. Is that what it’s like every time I am in my prayer room warring and interceding? I wondered is that what I look like from heaven’s perspective every time I extend the love of Christ to someone, share His Word or tell them about the hope I have in Him?
This little light of mine. I’m gonna let it shine! This little light of mine. I’m gonna let it shine. This little light of mine. I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
