Are You Available?

I’m available, are you? Are you available when I call to you in the midnight hour? Are you available when I ask you to do something you don’t want to do? Are you available in the hard times and in the long times as much as you are in the good times? Are you available? You see I am always available, here ready and waiting. Listening and loving, but are you? Do you love me when it’s hard? When your hurt, angry and confused? Do you love me when my answers no? Do you love me when I ask you do do something that you feel is beyond your capabilities? Do you love me when I ask you to give up something you want to do? Loving me requires trusting me and knowing that my plans for you are good. That I have chosen you, I have called you and I will walk with you no matter what. 

Are you available in your heart, in your mind, in your life? Are you available with your job, with your family, with your dreams? Are you available and willing to walk in obedience? Are you available to listen to my voice, to seek my face always? I want you to be available day and night. I want you to be available in convenience and inconvenience. When what I tell you is hard because if you just trust me you will see that my plans for you are always good. I will mend the broken places, but you must make them available to me. Nothing is to broken or beyond my reach. You are mine and I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will always be available, will you?

I long for complete occupation. I want to work in you and through you, but to do that I need you empty. Empty of who YOU think you are and what YOU think you can do. Your thinking is way too limited. You don’t see what I see. You don’t know all I know. My perspective, my ways are higher than yours. My thoughts are higher than yours. Trust me and know that my love for you is great and my plans for you are good. 

Sometimes it hurts to be emptied. There are things you don’t want to let go of. Things that you hold on tight too, much tighter than you hold on to me. Things that you think define you, but they don’t. I have defined you since before you were born. Your identity is found in me. Your purpose is found in me. Do not limit what you think I can do.  I know everything about you, every hair in your head, every gift, every talent and every possibility of what you can do for my kingdom. I formed you, I knit you together and I called you forth by name. I want to occupy you. Not to control you, I love you way to much for that. I want to occupy you so that I can move freely in and through you. So that you can walk in power, strength and might that only comes from me. So that your setbacks will be victories, that your hurts will bring healing, so that you pain will propel purpose, so that your trials will bring overcoming. So that you won’t just receive my grace, but you will walk in it. You will give it to others and it will shine through your life. So that you will be renewed. Will you let me do the restoration work that needs to be done? I need to empty your worldly ideas, your pride and your dependence on self. So that I can do a deep cleaning in the areas you think I have long since forgotten about; those areas that you hold on so tight too, those areas that you allow your fear of losing control of keep you from realizing the potential of what I will do if you just empty them and let me fill them with my glory. 

I want to occupy you, but are you available? Is your heart completely mine? Is your mind focused on the promised hope I give to you? Are you ready to move the clutter out of the different rooms in your life and allow me to come in and redecorate. So I can hang hope in seasons of heartache and hopelessness. So I can hang healing in times of hurt and despair. So I can hang love, faithfulness and peace on the mantle of your heart. Let me remodel and rebuild all areas of your life so that you can walk in freedom. The kind of freedom that is only available when you give me ALL access. I love you and my plans are good. I have done great things through you, but there is greater ahead. Just lean in to me with a willingness to be filled and to be available for what I want to do. I am available to fulfill every promise, to restore, to redeem, to renew and to bring resurrection power in and through you. I am available, are you?
