Job Review

January 18, 2015

Jobs they are the things that sustain our finances. They are how many of us identify ourselves. By our title, by our salary, by our position. We measure ourselves by the values others place on what we do. Doctors, lawyers, plumbers, mechanics everyone is important. We strive to do our best at work and to accumulate respect, opportunities and promotion.  But what about the job that we were given by our ultimate supervisor. The only one whose thoughts of us matter. The only one who holds the key to the kind of opportunity and promotion that we need. How are we doing in that job? When it’s time for our evaluation and He goes over our performance what will He say?

Are we meeting His expectations? Are we doing our best? Are we trying our hardest? As we go about our day are we remembering the one we were serving? In what ways are we laboring toward our calling and purpose?

Are we living life with our eyes on the Kingdom? Are we sharing the gospel or hoping that someone else will? Are we loving as Christ does? Are we forgiving others as we were forgiven? Are we serving with a heart full of love and a willingness to go wherever He asks us too? Are we reading The Word, communicating to God in prayer and growing stronger in our relationship with Him? How are we doing on the most important job in the world?
