Do You Know Jesus Christ?

Do you know Jesus Christ? I mean really know Him? I was thinking about that question this morning as I was reading some things on the Internet. For a lot of people I believe they love Jesus, but I don’t think they know Him. To some I wonder if they think of Him as that friend they will call when they are going through a hard time and need something to believe in. I wonder if they have a fair weather friendship that comes and goes depending on how they feel. Jesus wants so much more from us than that. He wants to be first in our lives. He wants us to talk to Him in good times and bad times. He wants us to know that we can have a relationship with Him.

A true friendship is getting to know the other person. I wonder how many people spend time each day talking to Jesus; asking for His guidance for the day. There is no better way to start your day then to seek first the one who has already been to the end of this day and knows just what you need to get you through it. That is the type of relationship He wants with each one of us. 

I pray that everyone will take the time to get to know you Lord. That they will begin to understand the depth of your love. That they will know that you will always be there for us. I pray that they will come to call you friend, Lord, Savior, and Everlasting Father. I pray that they will know you are the one friend that will never walk out on them. That you are the one friend who can heal our hurts, give us peace and comfort, fill us with joy unspeakable and extend grace to us no matter what the situation. If we just turn to you.
